This policy explains what personal data we process when operating the progity.com website and its subpages, what we use it for, how long we keep it and what rights you have in relation to it.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data is:

Referred to below as the “Controller”. You can contact us at the email address above with any question about the processing of personal data.

2. What data we process

The scope of processing differs depending on whether you are only browsing the site or actually write to us.

a) Technical and operational data (no consent required)

• IP address (processed for the security and operation of the website),
• browser and operating system information,
• pages visited and the time of the visit,
• referrer (source of the visit),
• basic device information (e.g. device type).

We process this data in anonymised or aggregated form and do not use it to identify visitors over the long term.

b) Analytics and advertising data (only with consent)

Once consent is given, the following may be processed:

• a unique technical identifier of the visit,
• the length of the visit,
• interactions on the site (e.g. link clicks, form submissions, views of key sections),
• navigation between pages,
• data about conversions and interactions with ads,
• technical data about the device and browser needed to measure traffic and ad performance.

This data is used solely to analyse visitor behaviour, improve the website and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

c) Contact form data

If you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you fill in:

• your name,
• your email address and phone number (either one is enough),
• your company name, if you provide it,
• the topic of your enquiry and your preferred way of being contacted,
• the text of your message.

Along with these we record the time of submission and the IP address the message came from. These two items serve solely to protect the form against spam and abuse.

3. Purpose of processing

We process personal data in order to:

• handle your enquiry and, where relevant, start working together,
• analyse website traffic,
• improve the content and functionality of the website,
• optimise the user experience,
• ensure security and protection against abuse,
• measure advertising performance and evaluate conversions.

4. Legal basis for processing

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – basic operational and anonymous statistics, website security and protection of the contact form against abuse.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – advanced analytics using a technical identifier of the visit, measurement of advertising conversions through Google Analytics and Google Ads, and processing of data submitted through the contact form.
• Steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – where your enquiry leads to preparing a quotation or a contract.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the privacy settings on the website, and for contact form data by emailing the Controller. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

5. Contact form and spam protection

We protect the contact form against automated abuse in three ways: a hidden field that only a bot fills in, a limit on the number of submissions from a single IP address, and ALTCHA verification.

ALTCHA is a proof-of-work check that we run on our own server at altcha.progity.com. It sets no cookies, does not track you across websites and sends no information about you anywhere – your browser simply solves a mathematical puzzle whose result our server verifies. No data is passed to any third party.

6. Cookies and local storage

The website uses the following types of cookies:

a) Technical cookies (necessary)

These cookies are required for the website to work correctly and do not require consent:

• storing the language preference (e.g. lang, language, pg_lang),
• storing whether a language has been selected (pg_lang_selected),
• storing your decision on analytics consent.

These cookies do not allow a person to be identified and are not used for marketing purposes.

b) Analytics storage (only after consent)

Used solely after consent is given, for the purpose of:

• analysing website traffic,
• evaluating visitor behaviour,
• measuring ad performance and conversions.

Google Analytics and Google Ads may be used for these purposes. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.

7. Retention periods

• Anonymous statistical data: up to 12 months.
• Data processed on the basis of consent: up to 24 months.
• Consent cookie: 12 months.
• Contact form data: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up cooperation, at most 24 months from the last contact, or sooner at your request.

8. Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

To provide analytics and measure advertising conversions, data may be processed by Google Ireland Limited and possibly other companies in the Google group, in connection with Google Analytics and Google Ads. Contact form messages are delivered by our own mail server. When Google services are used, data may also be transferred outside the European Economic Area, on the basis of the appropriate legal mechanisms under the GDPR.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• request access to your personal data,
• request rectification or erasure,
• request restriction of processing,
• object to processing,
• data portability,
• withdraw consent,
• lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or your local supervisory authority.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and our services develop. Substantial changes will be marked by updating the date shown under the heading of this page.
